Revision Project
The assignment here is for you to revise two of your three essays written for this course: one of them must be your proposal argument (essay 2).
Of the two you select for revision (the proposal argument, and either essay 1 or 3), one of them must be revised into a completely difference form: you must transform the argument into a visual argument using Prezi or a similar presentation tool to do so. |
|
Any of these options for essay one may be selected and revised as a visual argument.
Only one of the two essays selected for revision may be revised into a visual argument. The other must be written as a "traditional" paper. |
Revising essay two or three:
|
In either essay two or three, you must revise the essay by enacting a transformation of the purpose and/or audience. For instance, you could take up an entirely different (even opposing) point of view concerning your proposal, and write the proposal from that point of view, etc.
In some cases, the revisions you can take on may focus on transforming the stylistic choices you habitually make in your writing (use Williams' book Style to assist you in diagnosing your style choices and how to transform them. This can very well lead to a significant revision. For instance, if you normally struggle writing sentences where the characters perform actions, or sentences that are cohesive and paragraphs that are coherent, by working on these issues, your entire paper might require a full revision.
This option too may be the one you select to revise as a visual argument.
